PVCE SACS builds momentum into T3 to support Students' Employability and Educational Experience

Learn how students are engaging with the PVCE Student Academic and Career Success (SACS) team to build their academic and career knowledge and capabilities outside their formal learning spaces here.

Term 3 is going to be another important time in a student’s learning journey. For some students, it might be more emotional and stressful than others. There will be students who will prepare to embark on a summer internship or navigate their first university experience as a continuing post-graduate student. There will be students who will prepare to graduate the following year and those who are at their last term preparing to enter workplace as an early career graduate.

Listening attentively to their learning needs, in particular students’ concerns of the new post-COVID-19 ‘world outside UNSW’, PVCE SACS continues to respond with meaningful learning assisted programs and initiatives to support their educational experiences and the upcoming QILT survey in September. They include the Industry Connections, The Next Step Program, Global Employability Week, HDR STEMM Career Week, Thesis Writing Bootcamp, Academic Improvement Module and the Professional Development Program.

Industry Connections (Throughout T3)
This is newly designed series connects students with the ‘world’ outside UNSW. The purpose is to provide educational opportunities for students to be comfortable with their discomforts relating to their future academic and career success. Students will learn about different careers, industries, and trends that they may not be aware of, or are curious to learn more about.

The 6th annual Global Employability Week (formerly International Students Careers Week) is a collaboration with Study Abroad and Exchange, UNSW Founders, industry partners, employers, and faculty WIL teams. This newly designed program is to raise student awareness of having a global mindset and experience to enhance their employability success. Just because we can’t travel at the moment, does not mean our students can’t have a global mindset to contribute to the global economy and communities at large.
