The theme, “Embracing Change: Creating Opportunities” explored new opportunities in learning and teaching and creating educational experiences. In the shifting landscape of higher education this year’s Learning and Teaching Forum showcased learning and teaching practices which demonstrated opportunities explored in the face of increasing change.
The day focused on the three streams of:
Assessment and Feedback: Developing assessment and feedback practices that support student learning, while balancing student and institutional expectations.
Collaboration and Partnerships: Working in partnership to develop quality programs, courses and learning experiences.
Course Design: Designing for flexibility, authenticity and expanded opportunities for student engagement.
The Forum’s Poster Gallery showcased 10 examples of effective teaching practice from academic and professional staff across the University and was also an opportunity for thought-provoking discussions and sharing ideas for improving student outcomes at UNSW. Congratulations to Dr Yenni Tim for her winning poster (as voted by Forum attendees), "Sandbox for Education: Co-creating a career-focused learning experience with the industry".
